“Take Your Fear”
I have posted this track for a couple of reasons. When we play this tune live, we get so many comments about it, asking about the inspiration and background of the track. So, I have decided to do a video blog detailing all of the recording/production steps that I went through in creating this piece of music. So for now, please just enjoy, and if you’d like to see how I made it, please stay tuned.
BRIEF BACKGROUND:
This is a track that I wrote/produced over the winter months in the build up to the ski season. I wanted a track to reflect the anticipation and adrenaline rush that the slopes produce! For me an orchestral introduction was always going to be the way forward. I love the harmony between orchestration and electronic beats - once two separate worlds now so joyous!
Those who know me, will know that I come from a strong ‘songwriter’ background/ethos, but over the last few years I’ve been experiencing a paradigm shift towards the importance of melodies as emotive tools. That’s not to say I am replacing lyrics - far from it - I am just enjoying experimenting with what music can offer and I feel this song perfectly demonstrates that.
If you would like to share musical ideas, talk about music, work on beats or share you thoughts, please feel free.
